The end of an era. (...okay, a decade)

Tomorrow is my 20th birthday. 20! 2-0 20! And although 20 marks the end of a chapter of my life, it also sparks the beginning of a new chapter. It's rather mental to think that it was 10 whole years ago that I was cheerleading to High School Musical.
Year 19 had its moments, the year of Hoop Earrings, the return of brown hair and the discovery of a musical icon- Dua Lipa.

There are also a number of lessons that nineteen-year-old me, or even teenager me learnt, that I thought would be cute to share.

1.   Never play with your eyebrows, you know someone who has much more talent for that department- side note: waxing isn't as painful as you think it will be.

2. The future isn't as scary as you think it may be, it will always come good in the end, even if it isn't your version of what is good. It's somebody else's plan.

3. It's okay to take the scenic route, and most people are still on it.

4.  High School is nothing like High School Musical.

5. Treat people how you would like to be treated.

6. The Kardashian's as entertaining as they may be are an impossible group of people to try to live up to.

7. Blondes don't always have more fun. The Brunette look is so much better on you.

8. Not everyone deserves to be treated nicely, but you should be nice anyway.

9. Don't chase after money it doesn't lead to happiness.

10. On that note, neither does boys.

11.  You are never too young, or too old.

12.  What you think about yourself is more important than what anyone else thinks of you.

13. Find what makes you happy, and don't find it in a physical person.

14. Listen to God.

15.  Work Hard, and it will work to your advantage. (You don't need to be the best, you just need to try your best)

16. Social Media is not the definition of your beauty, nor are all the likes- or lack of

17.  Sometimes silence is the best answer.

18. You're allowed to have a duvet day if you feel like it.

19.  Treat yourself how you would like people to treat you. Be Kind to yourself and as Justin Bieber once said, Love Yourself.

Love you all,
Kirsten
