He Calls Me Beautiful

"My beloved spoke to me and said, "Arise, my darling, my beautiful one come with me.""- Song of Solomon 2v10

Today, millions of people will check their Facebook profile for notifications, their Twitter for mentions and their Instagram for likes, some will have thousands and some will have none. 'Instagram Famous' has become a common phrase and your worth, beauty and love is based of your social media accounts and wether you are selfie perfect.
So many people see this as the defining thing of them, almost like the fact they got less than 100 likes is something they'll have to walk round with on their forehead for everyone to see, their online life needs to be perfect to hide the fact that the life they actually live is far from, or shouting 'I woke up like this' when actually you've spent 2 hours getting ready to take the photo.

It so easy in today's world to believe we aren't beautiful, we are constantly told to change the way we look, act and think, so that it can conform and fit to what the world want us to think, feel and act towards. In reality God's idea of beauty is so different, in fact the way he made you was and is perfect, he doesn't need or want you to change any part of who you are, not for likes, boys or the world.
He created you in his image, his perfect, unchangingly beautiful image- why would anyone want to change that? you're literally changing perfection to try and make it more perfect which is an impossibility.

Perfection is found in God, not in the likes you get, the number of boys who feel your good looking, or the number of followers you have. You're perfection because God created you in perfection, you are worthy because he made you worthy. God doesn't make imperfect, ugly things so why do you put yourself down so much? Why do you let yourself believe you are unworthy, don't find your worth in the world in the society around you, rely on God for everything find your worth, beauty and power to do life in God. He will help you through.
