Because You're Worth It.

Luke 23 v 32-43
"Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, “He saved others; let him save himself if he is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One.” The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar and said, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.” There was a written notice above him, which read: 'This is the King of the Jews.' One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Here you have it, one of the most well known stories in the Bible, the one you hear every Easter season, because without this event happening there would be no spiritual easter - no doubt there would be some sort of commercial chocolate easter bunny type easter but no real easter.
I know it may be too early to be actually talking about easter but if the supermarket can they I surely can too! Easter is well and truly an event for the history books which changed the course of every christian believer's life, where God said because you have accepted me into your life, you can have eternal life with me in heaven and I will forgive you of everything you have ever done wrong, not just some of them all of them.
Why did he do it?
You know God knew this was going to happen, even before he created the heaven's and the earth, he knew how the future would pan out and yet he still chose to send his son to die on the cross. He didn't have to do it, but he wanted to. In fact if you had been the only person on the planet Jesus would still have died on the cross, he would have done it just for you. Because you're worth it. He took the mocking, the pain, the denial of who he was, the suffering, the doubt, he even took death. Just for you, because you are worth more than all that, he would have died a thousand times- just because you're worth it.
Because You're Worth It.
